Palmer Lake PHOTO TOUR & Information
I've been on the forum awhile & I'm still searching for information about all the different areas around colorado springs....
If anyone has any PHOTOS of Palmer Lake -- please post them..
I'd also love it if anyone could give me their opinion or impression of palmer lake.... What is it like? What's good? What's bad? Is it family oriented? What is there to do for entertainment?
Thanks in advance
Amanda from NY

I don't have photos. My sister-in-law's mother and stepdad live up there in a million-or-so dollar house. There are some pricey areas up there, but I think some of it is a bit cheaper. It is a small place - there is very very little in the way of entertainment in Palmer Lake itself. You would drive into the Springs for just about everything, I think.

I'll drive down to Palmer Lake this weekend and do a photo tour if you pay me $100.

Someone in Palmer Lake mentioned that the sun goes away a lot earlier because of it's proximity to the mountains. I had never thought of it. Might be kind of depressing in the winter when daylight is already limited. Maybe TreeDonkey has first hand impressions.

Yes, it's true! In Monument, too, if you are west of the the hiway.

I have about a bazillion pictures of Palmer Lake but what I don;t have is a photobucket account and this forum does not seem to support picasa in the same way so I'd have to post a private link and I'd rather not do that on here. Once I figure out a more secure way to do it I'll share more photos... In the meantime, here is an attached photo of the town from a sub-peak above town...
I've been thinking of putting up a photo tour site for a long time, so maybe this will finally give me the motivation I need to do that...
