Hi,

I am looking to move to CS - and was wondering if there are public lakes or places to go swimming - alas the place I am planning on moving to has no pool and I would like to do some swimming

See http://www.springsgov.com/units/parksrec/listpool.htm for list of city parks with indoor or outdoor pools.

Prospect Lake & Bath House, lake swimming & beach, Memorial Park, with a major indoor aquatic center. A large park, at Union & Pikes Peak, just east of downtown. Site of annual city fireworks and balloon festival, both free.

Many indoor pools at fitness clubs and YMCA's around town.

No real river swimming here, mountain runoff (snowmelt) way too cold.

s/Mike

Default thank you

for the perfect link - and thanks for the advice about the cold runoff water - thought that might be the case.

Default Swimmers Guide - Find a Pool

Try this:

http://www.swimmersguide.com/query/Main1.cfm

Work your way from United States to Colorado to El Paso County.

Look for pools open to the public.

This is a great tool if you regularly swim and you travel.
