Default Best Meatball or Pastrami Sandwich in COS

I moved here 3 years ago from Huntington Beach and I have searched high and low for a good place that makes meatball or pastrami sandwiches. After living there for 40 years I have to start all over again looking. Please help me refine my search. Don't get me wrong I love the Springs I'd never go back to CA!!

You're right. It is hard to find excellent deli food in COS. (Hopefully someone will blast in and prove me wrong.)

I had CB & Pastrami but it was at Rosie's. Not original, not bad, but not authentic.

There's Grindelwald German Deli and Wooglin's Deli both on Tejon??? Another one is Schlotzsky's Deli.

Try this place (from my google search...never been there but it sounds like it might work). The URL didn't work so not sure if they are still there...might be a place on Tejon street too. I guess call first.

Broadway Deli
7170 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO

Been there. Good stuff. It isn't Lombard Street in east Baltimore (Corned Beef Row) but they do seem to be New Yorkers.

Default Broadway Deli

Is the best in town for pastrami (had better elsewhere), great atmosphere, great food but I'm still looking for a great meatball with great bread which makes a big difference. Had pastrami at Jason's pretty good but not as good as Broadway's.

These are not Deli's but resturants. Canon City, only 40 miles from CS has 2 of the best Real Italian Resturants. Both are private owned by and started by Italians. DiRito's on east main. And The Belvedere on Elm. Not hard to find. We are not that big. The Belvedere has the best meatball sandwich and DiRito's are not far behind. The real difference in the two are the prices and the places themselves. The Belvedere is fancier and pricer. People do travel from as far as Denver to eat at both. Try'em, you'll like em! I don't mean this as an advertisment and I have no connection to either. Just wanted you to know about our little town and it does have something to offer that is just maybe better than the big boys. Oh yea, these make their own in most cases. If not they tell you. Made from scratch.

Try Molica's(sp?) on Garden of the Gods. Their sandwiches are great. If you go for lunch, get there early to avoid the line that goes out the door.

That's great, I'll keep this for the next time I go down to Canon City.

Molica's is really good, and they are really close to my work. They also have excellent fresh Italian sausage. I think I'll try a meatball from them for lunch this week. Thanks!
