Default Any experience with Transylvania Landscape Company

Hello,

We recently moved into our new home, received a flyer from this company in our front door. It looks good. Has anyone ever used them or heard anything about them? You can direct message me if it's something you wouldn't want to say to all. Thank you very much!

Transylvania Landscaping? I have no idea about their work, but I think the name alone warrants hiring them! Especially so close to HALLOWEEN!!

I'm very curious about them just based on their company name. If they can only do your landscaping at night........beware!

I have not heard of them, but I always check out companies I may use in the Better Business Bureau:

I've never heard of them (been here for all but 5 of my 41 years) and honestly, I wouldn't trust a flyer, even a well done one. I do web design and can make small companies look pretty darn big and more professional - cuz I rock that way.

In addition to the BBB, check out the C Springs Home Builders Association :

- Always get bids from at least 3 different companies.
- Stay away from companies that hire day-labor (illegals)
- Always have agreements in writing to include when they will have work completed
- Demand from the contractor that once work commences, workers will stay on the job until complete (this is big, as many contractors will start, and then take off...over and over again...a 5 day job can take over a month for most contractors)
- Never pay money up front unless it's a partial payment for supplies and never pay in full until you are 100% satisfied
- Personally, I'd go with a well-established contactor who's been around for ahwile...so many horror stories out there

Good luck!
