Default Question for five year or more residents of Colorado Springs please.

Hello folks, I've got a question for folks who have lived here for five years or more here in Colorado Springs. Now, I do realize that I have started threads on this board before that have stirred things up quite a bit, but that is not my intention this time around. So, am I right for assuming that most folks here in Colorado Springs are married into (literally) the military? I realize that I let me emotions get the best of my on my last question on here, but today I am asking this in a calm and level headed manner. I know for a fact that Jacksonville, N.C. was STRICTLY (meaning 99%) a military/Marine Corps town and I was just curious if it is wrong for me to assume that every woman that I see out in public whether it be at the gym, Wally world, or wherever is almost assuredly an Air Force or Army wife? Moreover, I only have one more semester here in Colorado Springs before I must transfer to a four year university. On that note, I am a non-traditional college student in the sense that I had to do the military thing for five years before being able to go to school. With that being said, do you all think that I would enjoy myself more at a commuter campus such as CU-Denver or at a "regular" campus such as UT in Austin, TX? I know that there is alot of military and ex-military (such as myself) here in Colorado Springs and I was just curious if anyone has gone down the same path as I am currently on? Furthermore, if you did go to a regular four year school did you enjoy your experience there or was it an isolating experience due to the age gap, etc?

I've lived here my whole life, and my family has been here since the 1870's. I believe about 20% of the area population could probably be considered to be military-associated, particularly right around the military facilities. So it would be "reasonable" to assume that about 1 in 5 is military.

I went to a four year school, but I went right out of high school. There were non-trads and they seemed to be having a good time. It depends on what you're interested in. If you are primarily interested in the education and already have other stuff going on in your life, a commuter campus is the better option. If you're interested in the whole package, the whole lifestyle, etc., then go for a "regular" campus.
