Default colorado springs question

I was just wondering if there were any military families living off base. And what apartments that you know of that partner up with the military using the "military rental partnership program"

We have a TON of people living off base. I am not sure about specific apartments that partner with the program. Try checking with your CHIPs office.

I know that quite a few of the apartments near base used to take part in special programs geared toward military families. The town is very supportive and proud of the local military presence.

Here is an article you might find interesting: http://www.findarticles.com/p/articl...5/ai_n14590475

D'Sgirl,

There are a ton of military families that live off-base and there are plenty of apartment communities that have military "set-aside" programs.

The best sources for these communities would be the housing office for the base you're going to be stationed on. They usually have a database of those particular communities.

Here's the number for the Peterson AFB Operator: 719-554-7321
Peterson AFB, Family Support Center: 719-554-6141
The Air Force Academy Operator: 719-333-1110
USAFA Family Support Center: 719-333-3444

They should be able to get you to the Housing Office and they can send you all the housing info you need.

Hope it helps.

Terytee

Default Just there

I was just recently in the Springs scouting for our relocation. While there I saw that the town's support for the military has only increased. Everywhere I went stores were offering military discounts off retail and apartments had move-in specials for military.

Any military family will feel welcome in the Springs.
