We are here and going to Denver today and then home to San Francisco area. I am getting a understanding of the area and I love it already. The people are so nice and the food is great. I just need to now find a good doctor and dentist and im almost set. We rented a home that is just beautiful. Its in the south west and in a heavy tree / forest area yet only a few blocks from stores. I hear there are bears there.....But im from Oakland so the bears wont scare me much At least they do not carry guns!

Ok im off to pack up and oh yea!!

Last night we went to a awsome Mexican restaurant! OH my gosh the chili lime rice was just wonderful. It was just as great as anything I have had in my area back home. Now, If the INdian food here is good then I am set!

Yes, im a foodie......But boy everyone here is in shape so that will help me get out and walk more or I can just run from the bears.

Cheryl

What do you like about it? How is it different than the Bay area?

The main difference is you can actually afford to do stuff. People are way friendlier, more community oriented, and fun. Here the hustle and bustle rules your life. You want to go to the store, you're in your car for 20 minutes each way.

I think you're right, Luke. There is a sense of Old Americana in Colorado--and other similar places in middle America--that you don't get on the coasts. I find it interesting that you call Colorado 'fun.' A lot of people would say that the Bay Area--with clubs, bars, fancy restaurants, etc.--is much more 'fun.' But you're obviously using 'fun' in the family-friendly sense--hiking, museums, parks, family activities, malls, etc. That's what a lot of people don't get about CO. Fun is a relative term. If you're coming looking for the Real World, your bubble will get popped. But if you're looking for good, wholesome family fun then this is obviously the place to be.
