I am a single very decent Mother with a disabilty. I have 2 kids, one is a Sophmore in HS and my 12 yr old is in 6th grade. rather than go into lengthy details... my condition is degenerative, physically. Obviously, I want the best I can give my kids even though i rely on income from SS.

I am also no spring chicken, 48 yrs old and need to live in a community for folks around my age. because of that I have deceided my kids would be better off in a boarding school(s). both are smart, articulate, athletic (my 12 yo dd is VERY much into Horses) my other son is contemplating USAF academy.

Here are my list:
Names of schools
Best neighborhood for myself such as an apartment, condo that would be easy to maintain, access to good medical care & supportive services. I would of course have to rent AND would be moving from the East coast. Also, is "Focus on the family" really as nice as they sound? (I was raised Catholic but accept any doctrine)
i have limited typing abilty so, please provide links for me, newspapers, etc. I have alot to give as a nice woman but parenting alone is waaay to hard after 30 yrs I have an older son who lives in N.Calif and his boss is a former CS resident who told him it would be ideal for me.

Blessings

I am only aware of Fountain Valley School Browser Not Supported -- It is only a high school though. For your needs, please research Silver Key Senior Services Home (http://www.silverkey.org/home.html - broken link) As far as churches, I would recommend Pikes Peak Christian Church or Restoration Church which would be close to your kiddos.

I'm a single parent who just enrolled two children in boardings schools, not an easy decision. The internet was helpful in the selection of schools. Two sites that were useful were www.boardingschoolwizard.com and tabs.com. Good luck with your decision. God Bless.
