So i'm going to Black Forest this summer from CA to visit some family. what's it like out there? i hear toooonnnnssss of fishing stories over there with great lakes, rivers, etc....trout, pike, etc...

I don't know of any rivers or lakes in the Black Forest area. There's a few ponds for livestock. There's some fishing near or in the mountains, and some of the reservoirs near Pueblo and Denver, but I wouldn't say that fishing is a big deal here.

The Black Forest in Germany has good fishing, scenic lakes and rivers, etc.

For sure the one in Germany has damned site better beer.

Meanwhile, back on topic, there really is no fishing in the Black Forest area of COLO SPGS. There is good fishing in some of the mountain streams and along the Arkansas River west of Canon City, CO, etc.
