Do you mean buy an individual policy instead of getting a group policy from your employer?

If you intend to buy an individual policy and unless you are young and have no pre-existing conditions, prepare to be rejected.

Look on-line for quotes, but be prepared to be disappointed.

Try ehealthinsurance.com. You can compare tons of plans and companies all without much hassle. I bought me son's health insurance through them and have been really happy with it. It usually doesn't cost anything to get qoutes and see if you're approved by the company. Hope that helps.

Hey there-

We are getting health insurance too. We have an insurance guy that handles it all for us. He is a great guy, doesn't cost us a dime. He goes out and finds the rate that fits you and/or your family the best. Let me know if you want his info. bashep

If you are good about staying healthy this might be of interest. It rewards people who stay healthy, not just those who go to some weight loss "training".
