Would it be inappropriate to suggest that all Ohio transplants immediately return to their state of birth? Just kidding, Ryan...kind of, anyway.

Nice try Former, but i'm a Colorado native. I didn't live in Ohio by choice. I returned here as soon as I could afford to.

E.C., when are you planning to move out here? You have been talking about this transition for quite a while now.

I'm not sure exactly. I've been on city data since I first started researching Colorado a year and a half ago. Moving 1/3 across the county isn't something I'm going to do unprepared like some 18 year old moving to LA with stars in his eyes. Since then, I've done lots of research and made four to Denver, seeing it in winter, spring, and summer. At this point, I'm psychologically ready to move but not financially ready. When I started, I had a number of financial obstacles to overcome before any move was possible. I'm slowly overcoming them but I'm not going to move until I'm in a position to make it a success. I'm not going to move with $500 in the bank, no job, and "hope".

I'm with you E.C., I have been all over the CD website doing research; as well as putting in roadtrips to the states I'm considering. At least you have it lassoed to one state - I've got 4 on my list!!!

I'm new to the forum thing. Searched for info, but run across the same issues...people going back and forth about why everyone is disliked from here or there or whatever. I have been doing research and am looking to relocate to Colorado. I will say with caution that I am currently a CA resident. The lifestyle here just isn't something that I want to continue. My dream is to be in a beautiful state with friendly people and great schools for my little ones. I am looking into Colorado Springs. Everything looks so beautiful and I adore nature. I have a 7yr old daughter and 2yr old son. I am in the medical field-graduating as an ultrasound tech and will probably be moving in 07/09. I will be visiting CO in Feb. Any advice as to what or where to start looking would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...
