We are planning a vacation in Colorado next month and need advice on things to do. We will be bringing our dog, so we won't be able to attend any "inside" things. We are staying in the Colorado Springs area.

Any hiking (although be aware of any leash laws).
I only have senior dogs, so am not real aware of activities including them!

Most of the hiking around here is dog friendly. You could spend lots of time in Garden of the Gods and not hike all of the trails. Manitou Springs is a great place to stop with a dog, many of the shops are pet friendly. If you want beautiful views of Pikes Peak, I recommend driving down Rampart Range road, I will warn you though, this is a dirt road that is VERY bumpy at places. You can drive to the top of Pikes Peak with your dog, but I would do that after several days to get him acclimated to the altitude.
