my husband and i are looking to buy land near Sterling colo. I've have never bought land before. Does anyone know what steps to take?
I undestand that i need power lines that are usually charge buy the foot to lay.
water wells i assume are $$$, but i 'm more intrested in not getting screwed.
I know that my income will be different and i 'm ok with that, i 'm not ok with utilities and septic ect.. costing more than the land itself.
is there a book or web site that someone can refer me too??
please help,
kbbb

what is it you're looking for?

a site to build a house?

acreage for livestock?

actual farm ground? irrigated or dryland?

what will you spend per acre?

Perhaps you should visit with a knowledgeable realtor that specializes in rural properties to explore your options and costs. They can also explain a lot of the details of developing your own site and building on it.

The process from a piece of raw land to a finished product is not for the faint of heart.
