Default Hi new to forum need some info

Looking for info about meeker co or surrounding communities,we own out east of colorado springs...but hubby has job opportunity that would require him there for 5 years?? don't want to buy..but need to lease home w/land have horses....is this going to be impossible any infor about town would be helpful...tx Daphnie

I too am interested in Meeker. I know that area is "oil booming" so imagine rentals are harder to come by and more expensive than, say, 4 or 5 years ago. It's a beautiful area--I would think there would be places suitable for horses. It's a small town with a downtown square and a great old historic hotel that has housed famous guests from the past, most notably Teddy Roosevelt.

I haven't spent much time there recently but imagine the oil boom has produced a faster, more bustling pace than usual. Anyone else have any Meeker info?
