Yeppirs!

As usual I missed my guess again. The snow is already here, I thought it wouldn't hit here until this afternoon/evening. Last night around midnight there wasn't a cloud in the sky. There is an inch on the ground this morning. Back to Winter we go!

Temps are suppose to go up next we so hopefully we won`t get the inversion like last year. Inversions are the worst... The weather people are calling for up to 8 inches of snow. According to NOA, we are suppose to have slightly above average temps in Jan but we will see.

This seems like deja vu all over again. Last year, I remember seeing warmer temps predicted for the later days of the 8 day forecast. Due to the inversion however, when that 8th day rolled around, the anticipated warmer temps failed to materialize. Nonetheless, the weather gurus invariably predicted warmer temps toward the end of every 8 day forecast....but they never showed up until finally the inversion lifted. Like you, I'm hoping that an inversion never sets up in the first place.

I'm pleased to report that I've not seen a single flake thus far in Grand Junction, but the sky has the look of imminent snow.

I met friends for lunch in Junction and was surprised to see nothing on the ground! Had a little over an inch at my place in Fruita, still on the ground now. Another front supposed to hit this evening.
