Hi,
What is the rental market like for a small house in Grand Junction near Mesa State College and the hospital? I've seen quite a few homes and apartments for rent in subdivions outside of the city, but it seems tricky to find a good one near the school/hospital. Maybe I'm searching in the wrong spots.

I'm seriously wondering if I'd be better off buying a small home rather than renting. The prices seem fairly depressed right now. I'm only going to be using the house part-time and eventually I'd either have to sell it or maybe keep it as a rental and I'm not sure about owning a rental in GJ. And I wouldnt want to get stuck with a house I can't sell either. Any thoughts or insight into the market would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
John

In that case, renting is the way to go. Probably, the bset way to find a rental in the area you prefer is to drive around in those areas and look for FOR RENT signs.
