My husband and friends all like to downhill ski and I'm really only interested in cross-country skiing. Are there ski resorts that have both right there?

The first place that comes to mind is Eldora west of Boulder -- a small ski area with fantastic XC ski trails.

The nordic center in Vail is at the golf course. I skied there once and was unimpressed.

Found a trail to xcountry ski directly across from the winter park ski resort entrance - Jim creek trail. Also devils thumb ranch is not too far away and they have quite a few trails to xcountry ski
