I wonder how many times I have posted this: early winter is typically dry in Colorado. Go look up the stats yourself at Weatherbase . In most of Colorado, the predominant color of early winter is BROWN, not white. In many areas, brown is the color most all winter. That is what is "normal," not the big snow dumps that people either love or hate.

I'll go out on a limb and say that Anarctica is a safe bet for finding snow.

Ha! My son works in Antarctica and, since it is the driest place on Earth, they get less than 2 inches of precipitation a year!! It's the winds on the ice that seems like it's snowing! It's also the coldest and winiest place on Earth! It's a desert after all!!

Go up to the mountains. They got a snow storm last week that dumped several feet of snow. The ski resorts are jammin'. It's the best opening for them in years.
