Remember, the OP is asking about snow in Colorado in general, including the mountains, not just in Denver. Snow in Denver at any point in the winter is iffy. But snow in the mountains is pretty much guaranteed.

According to the weather channel 10 day forecast for Denver, we are supposed to get snow Fri the 21st but that's it. And it said snow showers, so I'm not sure that will bring much. I didn't see an intense warm up in between so there should still be some white on the ground.

As far as Vail in concerned, they are supposed to get snow Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
