We are planning a scope it out trip in Oct/Nov. Any tips on how to do it cheaply?

I think we will probably drive so we don't have to rent a car. And we have some family in CS we can stay with some. Looking for an inexpensive hotel in Denver for a few nights- just something clean to sleep in at night.

is your focus denver? if you don't mind the 60 minute drive from the springs stay with the relatives to save some money. It's too far to commute daily, but for a few days it aint bad.
