I agree with dave. But if the snow thing is starting to ruin the honeymoon, you can always come down off the mountain into the front range where its 50+ degrees during the day and hit up breweries and such

Something to keep in mind is the affects of the high altitude. Everyone is different, and there is no way to predict how anyone will react. A honeymoon with three or four days of headaches and nausea would be something to remember - but not in a good way.

For me there are few sensations that compare to sitting in a hot tub during a snow storm, it's even better if someone brings you drinks and a warm robe. I think a Colorado Honeymoon would be fun, Aspen, Vail, Telluride, Ouray, Brecknridge, just depends on your budget and what activities you want to do.

I lived there in 1974. It was just an old building with apartments. I guess they have a new business model since then.

as far as elevation levels, she lived most of her life in the mountains of Mexico. I googled the elevation maps and on the surface level they are about the same elevation. of course I understand at the top of a mountain would be different.

I have been to colorado so I know I can hack it. I do understand though. In high school we took our band up there for a competition. We had 20+ members passing out on the trip up there from the elevation changes.

If you got the money to toss around, my vote goes to Aspen. They have their own airport too. It made the "most dangerous airports in the world list". Exciting!

Another romantic getaway is Glenwood Springs hot springs resort. Lots of snow up there and outdoor hot springs pools. Very fun.
