Oh there it is! My friend Mitch told me about this place about 6 months ago! He's a cook and he says it's good!

It's north of Northern about half a block on Routt on the west side of the street! We'll have to try it sometime.

I assume you've been there? What's good?

A couple of weekends ago we took my bro and his family to Giuseppe's Depot Restaurant (http://www.giuseppes-depot.com/ - broken link) in Colorado Springs and I had a fantastic Chicken Alfredo with a side of meatball and sausage.

So do they have fresh pasta? Another Pueblo Gem! Whatdoyaknow? It's gettin' like Chicaga around here!

Then say, "The chef is from Italy and moved to Pueblo and opened it with his wife".

I like the veal, but I have heard anything is good! I want to say the chef is from Italy and moved to Pueblo and opened it with his wife.

What do you mean Pueblo is like Chicago, Chicago is like Pueblo!

Nice pics.

What happened to your Galelio's Diner? Looks like they closed shop? Wonder if they're still in town or if they went back to Italy. It's too bad. I heard it was good food.

One thing about Pueblo is we have a lot of great family owned restaurants, a fact that even KOA talks about.

Talking The Hangar

I went to this restaurant last night. It does not look like much but this is another local restaurant/ bar that Pueblo is famous for. This place has one of the best prime ribs in the city and has been around for decades.

Question Who makes the best slopper

Food war in Pueblo!

Coors Tavern is located in downtown on 4th street.

Sunset Bar and Grill is located on Thatchor on the south side of Pueblo. I took this picture during the last blizzard.

The travel channel is coming to Pueblo to see who has the best "Slopper". First of you might not know what a "slopper" is so this is from Wiki:

A slopper is a cheeseburger, or hamburger served open-faced and smothered in red chile, or green chile. Sloppers generally include grilled buns and are often topped with freshly chopped onions.

The link: Slopper - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So now the Travel Channel is going to have two Pueblo restaurant legends battle it out to see who has the best slopper. This is from the Pueblo Chieftain:

Have slopper, will travel. The Travel Channel is heading to Pueblo next week to film an episode of "Food Wars" and the green chile slopper is the star of the show, courtesy of culinary rivals Gray's Coors Tavern and the Sunset Inn.

The link: http://www.chieftain.com/article_023...cc4c03286.html

I will post the winner! Let the best slopper win!

Camille Ford is the host of "Food Wars," which airs locally at 8 p.m. Tuesdays on the Travel Channel
