Pueblo's layout is much like Denver's. We have a large downtown located in the plains then we have western suburbs and southern suburbs that reach the foot hills and are eastern suburbs are out in farm country. The only difference is Denver is 2.5 million people while Metro Pueblo is 150,000. Given Pueblo's location in the Arkansas Valley we actually have more room to grow. Thus once Pueblo grows, and we will, we will be a nice fusion of 3 major cities, Denver, Phoenix and Pittsburgh. This is one reason I am so exited about Pueblo's future!

So today I am focusing on one of Pueblo's western suburbs, Beulah. Beulah is located south west of Pueblo and has a very nice park ran by the city of Pueblo, Pueblo Mountain Park. I went on a hike and spent a few hours in Beulah.

This is the main road to get to Beulah from Pueblo, known as the Beulah Highway. This is Pueblo's version of the Boulder turnpike.

This is one of the restaurants in Beulah, as you can see it has been there for decades!

This park is ran by the city of Pueblo and is free to use!

These structures are all on the national registry of historic places as they were built back in the 1930's and 1940's!

There are a few trails and we went on this one that ends with this tower where we ate lunch.

As I was looking at his beautiful valley I could not help but wonder what it would of been like if they had located CSU Pueblo here and it would of been CSU Beulah. Then Beulah would of been to Pueblo what Boulder is to Denver.
