Dad777, it's a public street. Anyone can park anywhere.

If he leaves his car there longer than 72 hours, you can call the police to come give him a ticket. Is this a battle you really want to start?

Did you purchase that parking space from the city? Are there HOA laws that prevent people from parking on the street? If there is no HOA rule, you are SOL.

Tell your neighbor, in a really concerned tone, that you're really worried someone might key his car while parked on the street. Or alternatively, get some of the local kids (the rougher-looking the better) to offer to "watch" his car on the street for $5 a day...
