We are moving to Colorado in May and have zeroed in on Colorado City as the place we want to be since my husband's new office is in Pueblo. We like small schools for our 3 kids and Rye/Colorado City seemed like a great place to raise our kids. My concerns are about the 4 day school schedule and pre-schools or day cares in that area. I have one child who will be in 2nd grade, one who will be in Kindy and a 3 year old whom I would like to send to pre-school. Right now I'm a stay-at-home Mom, but I would like to return to work when we move. I'm wondering if there are after-school programs or some kind of program on Fridays for the kids when their parents are at work? Are there any day cares or other centers that will pick the kids up from school? I'm worried that with it being such a small town there won't be anything available and I won't be able to go back to work. Any help would be appreciated. I've tried searching for day care centers in Colorado City and nothing comes up on the internet that I can find. Thanks!

I dont think there are any actual daycare centers in co city or rye, but I know of quite a few people who send their kids to daycare because a lot of families have both parents who work. I have seen ads at the post office of people who advertise doing day care in their home and I have seen some that say they will pick the kid up from school or the bus stop. I am not sure about pre school, I really havnt heard of anything around here. When you get here just ask around. Of course there are tons of options in pueblo. I hope someone else comes on here and can answer your question better. I just thought I would respond with what I have seen and heard since no one had answered your questions.
