If you're an outdoor person, you'll love it here. When are you visiting? If you let me know what kind of outdoor things you're interested in, I can PM you some recommendations in the area while you're here.

Can't help much with hotels. There are a bunch here. I know there's a Super 8 in Silverthorne/Dillon, one Best Western in Dillon, another in Frisco. Should be pretty cheap in the summer/fall ($60-$90/night). For checking out the area, I'd suggest staying centrally in either Silverthorne, Dillon, or Frisco, as opposed to Breck, Keystone, or Copper.

Absolutely! I love the great outdoors, especially the mountain air! Anything from hiking, dirt bike riding, canoeing, scenic drives, and everything in between. Please PM me and your earliest convenience so that perhaps you could let me in a few good areas in which to check out. I will be coming down in early September.

Thanks again for all your help.

Fuzz

What are 2bd condos running (basic estimates/range) from Breck through Frisco to Silverthorne/Dillion?

I'm no real estate expert, but from what I've seen, you could get a 2bd condo in the high 100's-low 200's, but those would be either major fixer-uppers and/or in not a great/close location (e.g. Heeney, which is near Green Mtn Reservoir).

I think for a decent 2bd condo in places like Summit Cove, Wildernest, Breck, etc., you're looking at around $250K and up, depending on exact size, location, and amenities/upgrades/features. Not surprisingly, Breck is the most expensive (I just saw a 2bd condo in Breck for $560K). Wildernest seems to have a lot of 2bd condos around the $250K mark. If you're looking online, I'd be careful about the exact locations -- I saw some places listed as being in Wildernest/Silverthorne, but they're really up in Heeney, which is some distance away.

Also, one thing I forgot to mention is that a lot of these condos have pretty steep HOA fees. I've seen anywhere from $100-$400 per month.
