I saw that credit fraud stuff in the Plaindealer (yes, I have a subscription here back East). Always read the police reports to see what is going on besides horses or cows on the highway.

Drove up to Ouray today, nice sunny day today about 50 degrees there with a brisk north wind. It's that time of year when you'll see people in knit caps, sweatshirts, and shorts. Took a few photos posted on another thread. Hwy 50 from Oletha to about the Montrose county line is under construction, and today the southbound lane was one lane and 40 mph. Hwy 550 in Colona is also under construction. Was told CDOT is going to four lane 550 from Colona to Ridgway. Now that should be interesting. And there's construction just north of Ridgway around Dennis Weaver park, one lane, and the never ending bridge replacement on Red Mountain Pass, which is one lane and LONG delays. I declined to wait the hour it takes to sit atop Red Mountain.

I did manage to hit every single red light in Delta, Oletha and Montrose. I think Montrose is trying to corner the market on traffic signals, or they found a great sale since it seems with their new traffic plan, every intersection in town has or is going to have a traffic signal.

Anyway, Ouray was not crowded at all, little traffic, few tourists wandering around. Days like today I wish I had a Jeep so I could hit the dirt roads.

Hoping with the cooler weather, the mosquitoes will finally die off.

And I'm still mowing the lawn. Days have been sunny and in the upper 40's nights in the 20's. No snow, a little rain from the storms the past few weeks. Went downtown on Halloween with the nieces and nephews to trick or treat. I think every kid in Delta was downtown. Lot of fun, what a great atmosphere. I still really like how the parents are so involved with their kids here.

Either those cows are totally captivated with you OR they are daring you to step on their side of the fence.

Really? Maybe the front range, but I've been nothing but welcome here in the 2 years I've lived here.

After all the big watches and forecasts of snow, wind, rain...nothing here. Sunshine this morning, some frost and in the 30's. Going outside to play. Lawn is STILL green and I'll have to mow this week. Most of the leaves have fallen off the trees so that's good.
