The most effective allergy remedy in my pantry is kratom. No allergies in Colorado or elsewhere since I've been using kratom the last 3+ years. Just a tsp a day keeps the allergies ( and a few aches and pains ) away, and it costs next to nothing. However, kratom like many other natural remedies could become an endangered species...at the hands of misguided politicians with connections to the pharmaceutical industry. Indiana recently banned the use of kratom. BTW, Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels has ties to the pharmaceutical industry. What a co-incidence!!!!

I think the most effective allergy remedy is for me to move BACK to Ridgway!

Default Pardon my sillies: we got rain today!

jim9251,

I went to the kratom link but that remedy does not seem to be effective against the FAMILY TOO D*MN CLOSE allergy. So, yes, relocation may be your best option -- as long as it does not cause a flare-up of the secondary symptoms associated with the RENT TOO D*MN HIGH allergy.

Wink Kratom

Looks to be good advice on the Kratom; and about skeevy politicians as well.

Surely no defense against bad neighbors. But, elsewhere, maybe all the inspiration required—if any more needed—in relocation. Such as Ridgway?

Looking forward to the move back to Ridgway. I'm not sure what Jim's budget is, but I follow rentals and buying houses in Ridgway closely (a bad habit bordering on obsession). I see some good rentals in/near Ridgway and in Ouray. My favorite house in Solar Ranch has been on the market for some time now- 2bed, 2bath- maybe he could afford that or get the price down. Keep us posted?

Budget isn't a problem and thanks everyone for the nice comments. My decision to move to Delta was based on family and issues going on that I felt being closer I would be a help. Well, like they say...

And friends in Ouray County sending me photos all the time while snickering isn't helping.

Delta is ok, and surprisingly clean and quiet. The flowers along Main Street in summer are breathtaking and I met the young lady who single handily takes care of them. Although I don't live in town and about 10 miles in the county, the drive to go anywhere or do anything gets old. Ridgway, I walked everyplace or rode a bicycle. That I miss.

So like I said before, stay tuned...
