Haven't posted in a while because during most of July and August my internet has been out or horrible connection and drop outs, this morning is the first time I've been able to connect in 5 days. I've called every day for 10 days now complaining, and am told I am "under review". It's the only internet service available where I live, so I'm stuck. Apparently they know it too.

Looking for a house in Ouray County and I plan to be living back there in spring.

Are you looking to buy? I'm obsessed with realtor and trulia in Ridgway/Ouray and there is always at least one house I want badly.
Hey, there's a big newish trailer in Valley Heights for $65k (asking). A friend who lives there says the park owner does not maintain the very steep road and winters are a problem for some $325/month.
Gorgeous short sale house in "Le Ranch", custom slate, dog bath, fence, contemporary, asking $155k. Kinda big (2000 sq.ft.) but *I want it*.
Co-workers have ordered me to stop looking at dogs for adoption and real estate. Hey, it's on company time.

I'm just looking to get OUT of Delta and back to paradise. Was even offered to be able to put a tent up behind Panny's Pizza and I may take them up on it.

The Wright Opera House has very cheap studio apartments- I think something like $375/month, and they're not summer rentals.
It's been fascinating to follow your very smart moves in retirement- rent in Ridgway, decide it's not working for you, rent in Delta, decide it's *really not working* for you, and now a plan to go back to Ouray County.
Do you read the Plaindealer? Rentals, etc., listed there, and many insist on a one-year lease to avoid summer-only people.

Wonder what the rent Jim paid for his apartment in Ridgway was before he moved would compare to what he would pay for the same aparment now.

That tent might be a good deal.

Don't think that complex has changed much. It's not selling.

Rentals in Ridgway are from $700 to $1100 a month, nothing has changed because they all stay half full. Actually I loved Ridgway and Ouray County, I thought it would be a good idea to move to this mosquito infested inferno called Delta and close to relatives, I was wrong. The good thing about this country is a person can move where ever they want. I may go to Wyoming.

Where in Wyoming interests you?

What are your most important criteria these days?

If you added pluses and minuses about Delta (beyond heat, bugs, lousy internet and close to relatives) what are a couple other descriptors that you would share?
