^ except for that stupid construction on 62 replacing the river bridge, yeah everyone seems pretty happy up there. Hope you stopped in Panny's Pizza.

Spent the day yesterday at Confluence Park fishing. Wildlife stocked it with 6,500 trout last week. Water is still low, construction is filling tank trucks with lake water for the bypass construction, fishing is sluggish but had fun. Sunshine and relatively quiet there, mosquitoes are out in full force. Left about 2 when the winds started.

What! I lived in Denver for 2 years and didn't see 1 mosquito (coming from the mosquito capital).

Mosquitoes are insane here in Delta, and they have these wonderful biting gnats too that's just a real treat. Oh and the flies.

Out there in the valleys in western Colorado, they can get pretty thick here and there. Also they can even come out at 7000-10000ft in the summer at times.

I've never been eaten alive like I am on the mesa. A case of Deep Woods Off is required up there.

The Grand Mesa is about the worst case of mosquitos I've encountered in Colorado, yet is is a far cry from the really intense mosquito encounters of Alaska.

Actually mosquitoes are worse here in Delta than I ever saw in Arkansas. And on the mesa, crazy. I would think as cold as it gets in winter and with the snow they would die but I guess they really like all the standing water, summer heat...and me.
