Well I'm sitting on my patio in my home in Delta County looking at the West Elks to the north of me and the Grand Mesa to the west. And a large number of cows grazing in the field next to me. The trees here are already green, and irrigation water is running in the ditches, farmers are plowing, and some fields have already been planted. Earlier I heard the Somerset coal train whistle far below me, and some mourning doves are in a tree in my backyard making that cooing sound. There's a breeze, but there's always a breeze in Delta County in the afternoon. Sometimes the breeze may be 30 mph, but this evening it feels nice. Had a late lunch at RJ's in Cedaredge, best cheesburger ever. VERY different from living in a small two bedroom "condo" listening to doors slam, people yell, and the traffic on Hwy 550 to a nice country house on a few acres with nothing around but a cow or two...or 47.

So, here we go with part two of my Colorado adventures...

Here's a couple from our backyard. First are cows(obviously). Second are antelope. We live close to the Palmer Divide in Monument.

Was disappointed to see Part One come to a close, so looking forward to Part Two.

And cows make fine neighbors.
