Default I 70 will provide some good sights

When you are on I 70 and Glenwood Springs, your mouth just drops open. You'll see. Another beautiful sight is Rt. 24 south of I 70 near Vail. Go south through Minturn about 45 miles and you will think you're in heaven. Most roads to the beautiful places are winding so be prepared.
Next favorite is Dillon with the lake you can see from I 70.So many awesome sights.

i drove from ky to the western slope over 1400 miles in less than 24 hours!!!! drive is interesting somewhat the high plains may bore you lol there is a about 3 hrs of plains in co before denver and another 4 or 5 hrs till you get to central kansas and the plains start rolling and trees return, i also stopped in colby at the oasis on the plains and the iwa jima memorial in wah keeney or however it is spelled
