I am a single mom of four children. I am currently living and going to school in Reno, NV. I am graduating in the summer of 2008 and I am interested in possibly relocating my family to Colorado. I have visited Colorado before and I really liked it. I am looking for an affordable city that has good schools and would be a good place to raise my children. My children are in high school, middle school, and elementary school. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also what would be the areas that are not so great?

I think you would be happy anywhere along the I25 corridor except for Denver. That is a big and not so affordable city. There are many smaller towns around Ft Collins area like Timnath, Wellington, Severance, and Berthoud that you should look into. We have a fairly low crime rate in Larimer County which is where all of these towns are located. The schools here are some of the best in Colorado. As far as affordable what are you looking at as far as price goes. Rent or Buying? Also what is your occupation?

I will looking for work as a Dental Assistant. I am renting a house right now and would probably have to rent until I am financially ready to buy. As far as rent goes - I'm hoping to find rental homes for under $1350.00 monthly, which is what I currently pay for a 3 bedroom home. Ideally, I would like to find a 4 bedroom home to rent. I am looking for a little bit cheaper rent, but in a decent neighborhood.

I really do not think you will have a problem finding something like that. There are a couple rough spots to stay away from but for the most part we have nice communities. As far as Dental Assistant work you should not have a problem finding a job. I am constantly seeing them in the paper. Go to coloradoan.com and just keep an eye out for jobs there.
