I'm moving out to Colorado in a few weeks & I really liked the friendly atmosphere that I encountered. Down south you do see the friendliness, but it seems to be disappearing these days, which is a shame. I've noticed I've become more aloof/stick to myself/keep head down, etc. in recent years & it did kind of shock me with how nice & open the people were in Colorado. I don't know why it shocked me, but it did.
I can't wait to move.

Wow, this thread has been an interesting read. I'm originally from IL and live in TX now. I want to move to CO to find a happy medium. I miss the snow! Sometimes I think people down here in TX are a little too laid back. I like things a bit more fast paced and am looking forward to getting somewhat out of the country and into a more urban atmosphere, but with nature still accessible up above. Anyways, those are my reasons for wanting to move.

As I stated before, I dont care who loved to Colorado as long as they arent from Texas or anyone south of the mason dixon line. If you are offended, oh well.

This will probably fall on blind eyes, to paraphrase an old saying, but to disrespect an entire group of people over an accident of birth (where one was born) is ignorance.
