Those reports vary widely depending on who's behind them. You can can conceivably get two reports with statements 180 degrees of each other. And in any state, you can get a variety of results between the rich areas, poor areas, and everywhere between. There's no way to sum up one state (in any sensible way), and then throw that against the variables of another state (also summed up simplistically). In the end, people just pick and choose the reports they like or want to believe in, or, not pay attention to them at all and instead be in control and do their own research

Here's the original article: 2015’s States with the Best and Worst School Systems | WalletHub®

One of the criteria is: Percentage of High School Graduates Who Completed the ACT: Double Weight

That one area is probably what brought Colorado to #2, considering virtually all high school students take the ACT.

I think any school system is what you make of it. I went to a "bad" school district and the inner city Highschool yet went on to get 3 degrees including a MBA from the University of San Diego and I do not feel exceptional.

That still doesn't make sense to me because if you look at math testing scores, also double weight, CO isn't even in the top 5.

That was my thought when this came out. Colorado has consistently ranked towards the bottom for some time. To me this just shows how changing the criteria can change the outcome. It makes me think how meaningless these type of rankings are, past and present.

That's humorous that CO could have an overall rank of #2 despite having a "safety rank" of #47. Regardless, both numbers seem too extreme at their polar ends.

Ummm - here are a few more reports that states otherwise. http://www.alec.org/publications/rep...can-education/ , http://247wallst.com/special-report/...t-schools-2/2/

Would you kindly provide a link to a report that supports your claim? Thanks
