As stupid as it sound they havbe already started cutting back on the freshness buy using prepackages thousand island dressing when you ask for some to go.
As much as I'd love an In N Out in Denver, I'm afraid that if it ever happened, it would be the end of In N Out as we know it. As far as I know, the geographic limit on their expansion is how far a truck get can with fresh beef from their plant in LA. Expanding too far west would either mean opening another meat plant, buying beef from outsiders, or gasp, freezing it for the trip.

Oh well, when I move to Denver, I'll be able to afford to fly back to California (or Las Vegas) and get my fix from time to time.

A girlfriend of mine who lives in Carson City, Nevada told me that not only did an In N Out open up there in her town, but they just got a Trader Joe's.

I wouldn't be surprised if Colorado is coming up on the list to get them too.

I think an In and out would go like gangbusters out there. Can you imagine the first one, and no others for miles and miles to compete.

I heard they opened the first one in Tuscon recently and people mobbed it like they were giving away hundred dollar bills. All the ex Californians would be drooling over the first one in Denver.

Yeah, let's bring in something else to make Colorado more like "home" for all those transplants! Hopefully, very soon, we will be able to get the same homogenized slop for food EVERYWHERE in the U.S., with no local restaurants or cuisine left anywhere. Me, I avoid all of those franchised restaurants as much as possible. It's amazing, the great (and often very reasonably priced) food you can find when you leave the franchised dumps behind. Of course, that's anethma to much of our boob-tube indoctrinated, automobile-centric, suburban sprawl encapsulated culture--which, hmmm, grew to maturity first in . . . California. 'nuff said.

For your information, In N Out is NOT franchised. Its a family run company and has been since the beginning, some 50 years ago. Its successful because they serve a quality product at a reasonable price and they actually pay their employees well for the industry. You b**th and moan about everything and I always let it pass, but I will not let you rip on a good company without a response.

I can think of several Colorado family-owned and run restaurants with multiple locations in Colorado that serve very good food. Why not patronize those?

I don't know how other folks pick out restaurants, but for us it's the quality of the food and the service. I don't care if the establishment is a franchise or not. Sides that, franchises are usually locally owned by folks trying to make a buck. I've tried local non-franchise eateries and have been mostly disappointed. I will continue to support the ones I enjoy. Anyway, how do I know if the owners are to considered Coloradoans? How long do they have to live here to be OK? This whole discussion is silly, IMHO.
I agree with Escape- In N Out makes a great burger for a great price. They are very successful because of it. Wish I would've thought of it
