My husband has been out of work for 5 weeks, he is a commercial plumber and we moved to Chino Valley Arizona 6 years ago and I can't stand it here, I am ready to buy a travel trailer and leave, how is Durango Co? Oh we have 2 pit bulls.

How the heck could a plumber be out of work? If I were you I'd move to the suburbs of a major metro area where he'll find plenty of opportunities. Durango's nice but it's not the place you should be thinking about if you're trying to find work. Come to Northern Virginia and he'll find a job in about 5 minutes.

I work in the plumbing and heating industry and there isn't any commercial work going on in Durango right now. There's a few projects that might start up next spring, but it wouldn't be smart to move up here during the fall/winter with no job.

I'm beginning to see that this forum is a great place for finding out which states are suffering badly (economically).
