Default Sure

If you live in the predominately white west, a large black man is going to draw much more attention than a white one. In the midwest we fear a large redneck white man. It is a matter of environment, and is prejudice none the less.

I have seen a lot of prejudice against blacks in the midwest.

I could care less about those folks in SoCal. They don't want me on there state thread, so I'll refrain to referring to them anymore here.

Do I regret my move to Colorado? At the age of 10, it was hardly a choice for me, but I had a huge influence on the decision. "I wanna go camping!"

Well, I must admit. It's fun to pick on a place once you find out that it got under someone's skin.

I'm permitted to express my opinions positive and negative about any place so as to "inform" others what it may be like. This is irregardless of whether someone chooses to get offended by that comment-fact-experience-what ever you want to call it.

Keep in mind, it's a two-way-street. I don't like when someone comes on here and slams my hometown. That's my job, thank you very much. But expect to be able to take what you dish out in return.

To expect everybody to "admit that (insert your town here) is the singularly best place on earth" ain't gonna happen. Unless of course, you live in the best place on earth.

From what I've learned by suggestions from Moderators is to follow the forum rules. One big one that will get you busted is personal attacks etc. Everybody can read the forum rules from time to time and follow "the letter of the law", but I'm more interested in the "spirit of the law". To me that's pretty much being my smart-a#$ self, a little hornery, and when someone pushes, push back harder. But I try to mix in a little humor now and again.

If you travel alot like I do, is it ok to post in other state's threads, regardless of whether you have positive or negative experiences to share?

PS; oops, I broke my own rule.

This is irregardless of whether someone chooses to get offended by that comment-fact-experience-what ever you want to call it.

You've got a double-negative in there with "irregardless", which actually isn't a word. I get your point, but since you like to slam others for not making sense, just thought I'd correct your grammar a bit.

McGowdog

Irregardless! What a great word. I want you on my team for my next scrabble game. My wife would say that we are two of a kind....we're both good at making up words.

Sorry rebagirl, I'm usually in your corner, but I just love that word. Gotta hand it to McGowdog, Irregardless is a great word!

blessings...Franco
