Big time winds through here just a bit ago. Looking at News11 weather, there's two low pressure systems at work here, one south of Salt Lake City (just left there early this morning) and the other in southeastern Idaho. Gonna be pretty blustery for a couple days. Rain for sure, probably no snow. The snow will stack up in the high country for sure.

I just saw that. I am not sure how the low pressures are going to track but I would say there is a chance it could develop into a classic Albuquerque low. That would make for a fun spring snow storm in Pueblo.

As I posted this looks like it could be a big storm. Already KOAA is reporting that Pueblo could get 8 inches of snow. If this sets up right I think that will be the low end. Upper 70s today a major storm tonorrow night. March in Colorado. I love it!

No snow for Pueblo
Unfortunately the low pressure tracked to far south so Pueblo only got a dusting of snow that melted fast.
Maybe next time. I really hope Pueblo gets 1 maybe 2 large spring snow storms then I will be ready for summer.

I had to cancel my trip to CO this year (a work injury and too much debt) but I did schedule it in early June to avoid the pollen, which I find only in Colorado and Utah, and I thought it started in July/August. Good heavens. I am apparently allergic to anything that makes tumbleweeds- Russian thistle, sage, grease-something, you name it. I near died in Utah a few Julys ago, and no med would touch it. Very disappointed- I had hoped to spend summers out there some time in the future to escape the 100 percent-without-rain humidity here in the East. I'll bet you guys don't have to powerwash your houses because of mildew. It gets stickier here every year, not hotter. Any suggestions for allergy medications? I took, I think, Claritin and a Zyrtec and almost drove into a wall. The Claritin does nothing. Might my PCP give me a generic allergy shot? I sure don't want to go to some specialist and get the whole work-up thing, when I know it's "chenopods." (Does that include cottonwood or tamarisk?)

chenopod , but I do know that it makes a great hiking stick. It's hard enough to rival the hardness of an eastern harwood tree. Russian Olive is also pretty hard, but not quite as hard as Tamarisk. Both Russian Olive and Tamarisk are looked upon as
invasive species in these parts.

It is really needed. Yesterday the Grand Junction area had three different brush fires going as winds picked up in no time and caused problems. The GJ fire department was busy all afternoon. All told there have been 9 fires this week.
