Talking Blizzard of 2011

I, also, took some pictures of the snow storm in downtown Pueblo.

Here they are:

Joss, I always look forward to your pics. They help with the homesickness....

Anyway, I'll be on my way home soon. I don't relish driving a 26' Penske truck while pulling a trailer in a blizzard, so skip the snow dance in mid January, OK?

Drove from Breck back to the Springs tonight (9 to 24). Snowpacked most of the way, but nothing too bad. Hardly lives up to the hype the local weather guys are making.

That's because the hype is out in southeastern Colorado.

I'm gonna try and throw together a snow vid on the way home from work McGowdoggie Style.

This is the radar that shows the snow in south east Colorado. That is why there is little to no snow Colorado Springs north.

I just got home and wanted to see how much snow fell at my house. I got about 9 1/2 inches and its still snowing. I would not be surprised if I ended up with a foot of snow at my house.

Pueblo West in snow busted wiper.mp4 - YouTube

So when I was getting ready to leave work, I started the truck up to warm it up and to clean the windows off and my driver-side windshield wiper is busted. The cam/gear thingy is stripped out or something. So I just cranked the defrost up and went for it.

Got home safe.

At work tonight I got to shovel lots of snow and my new Steel-toed work boots from Cabelas (the one in Rapid City South Dakota by the airport) kept my socks dry. But I'm a bit tired.

I did a final snow measurement and at my house I got 10 inches of snow.......

I looked ahead and there is snow forcasted on Thursday with a high of 21 and a lot of -6. I hope we get another decent storm.
