I am not sure about a blizzard anymore but this storm is setting up interesting. First all the watches were in northern Colorado then as the storm gets closer they start up for Pueblo. This usually means the low pressure is moving towards a favorable place for Pueblo to get snow and once it starts moving in the direction the momentum can keep it going causing Pueblo to get more snow then first thought by the NWS. Personally I get the feeling that Pueblo could see 5-10 inches of snow with more in the foothills.

This is the latest information from the NWS:

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE

1043 AM MST THU FEB 2 2012

The storm is here!

Light rain has begun in downtown Pueblo and this could make for a interesting rush hour as the winter weather advisory goes into affect at 5. If the rain turns to snow and it becomes heavy just as rush hour starts it could cause the roads and highways to turn to ice. Once the snow starts look for a snow video from me as it has been to long since my last one.

Now I get your screen name. When I first read it I thought you were in Colorado Springs.

It depends on how the low pressure tracks but it looks like you might be right.

This is so true. This is defiantly a "spring like" storm in Pueblo as its warm and the ground is warm. The snow is nice but I think it will be closer to 5 inches of snow in the city and not the 10 I would like to have.

When I got off work last night in Pueblo I encountered wet roads and light snow all the way through Pueblo West as the temp was right at 34.

But as I turned onto our road there was 2 inches of snow and we had fog. We more than doubled that by this morning and that wet snow turned into ice and slush.

Probably not much more moisture but it's supposed to remain cold... as in below freezing.

Colorado City by Rye and San Isabel got 6 to 8 inches and it's still coming down.

Blue sky, very sunny, and pleasantly warm in Grand Junction this morning. Maybe this place really is a banana belt. Nah, one warm winter out of six winters hardly qualifies as a banana belt.

20" @ Eldora as of 10:30. We just measured 28" and we're 8 miles NE. It's still coming down.
