We will probably be griping about being buried in snow next winter. Anyway I got a whole 1/10" of rain here. Temp dropped from 62 at 2pm to 30 at 5pm and a strong cold wind.

I still can't figure out exactly what kills me in July-August in Colorado, and far worse in southern Utah, but I know where it is and that I've never had allergies anywhere else, anytime!
(A poster on this group might remember by visit last summer far better than I remember it, woozy and nauseous on two different medications, can't even remember what they were, unable to open my eyes to see the landscape for the burning and 100+ heat, and blasting sinus headache with it. Someday I hope to go back to the area and see what I missed!
Probably sagebrush/artemisia.

Snowing quite heavily in GJ at the moment. Temp down to 35. Overnite, the firece wind blew off a panel of the roof over my solarium and knocked down a section of fence in my back yard. Walking thru the neighborhood earlier today, I noticed that my fence was no the only one damaged by the wind.

It looks like the storm broke off in half as there was a huge tornado reported on the ground west of North Platte, Nebraska and also a few tornadoes touching down but also in the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles.

^

There were dust storms on the front range yesterday and last night I went to Denver to see Beauty and the Beast at the Buell and the head winds driving home were very bad. I have a SUV so to keep it at 80 MPH took a lot more gas then normal.

How many grains of dust?

What is the proper scientific measure of dust? I only know that the answer is that it's blowing in the wind.

A dusting of snow overnight, pea size hail around 5pm yesterday. Clearing and 30 degrees now. Forecast is for sunshine and the mid 70's the next 10 days. Fishing here I come!
