I drove to Grand Mesa today, 30 minutes from my home. Fall colors are really starting to pop, but I imagine in another week they will be spectacular. Not too many people up there today, it was partly cloudy and in the 50's with a nice breeze. Grand Mesa is the world's largest flat top mountain at 11,000 feet in elevation. Last winter they received 40 FEET of snow.

This is the Grand Mesa from my front yard:

Some heavy traffic

Aspens along HWY 65

Land 'O Lakes

Near the Visitor's Center

On Crag Crest Trail

Ward Creek

Fantastic! The color has progressed since I was last up on the Mesa 2 or 3 weekends ago.

I'll be going through that way tomorrow as I have a few things to do in Montrose. Going the back way always works for me-always!
