Hey everybody,

Planning a trip to Breckenridge for Christmas and looking for a nice restaurant open on Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day.

Price isn't really a factor (looking for pricier restaurants anyway), but want good food. Any restaurants doing upscale buffets for Christmas brunch?

Thank you!!

That's the season that every inch of that city and high country will be crawling with tourists and skiers, and I'd bet every eatery will be open.

Thanks Mike! If that's the case, then what would you say are some great, great restaurants in Breckenridge? I'll want to put in a reservation well in advance.

Wink Dining in Breck and beyond

I do not know of great fine dining options in Breckenridge off-hand. Although seconding the notion that anything that could be open likely will be, with any number of fine choices to choose from. Here is something to get you started:
Breckenridge Restaurants & Dining Info | Breckenridge.com

Summit County being a relatively compact place, you might at times wish to venture farther afield to sample the board of fair in other towns. Breckenridge alone should keep you more than happy, but still

Just down the road, main street Frisco offers a number of good choices, with an attractive downtown somewhat similar to Breckenridge. One possibility, although I haven't tried it, would be the Blue Spruce restaurant.

A bit farther afield, Keystone once, and probably still does, offered what was surely sumptuous fine dining in an old log lodge. There could be some good choices there.

Dillon may have a few things, and in conjunction with Silverthorne certainly fast food. Frisco as well in this. Something else I haven't tried is The Mint Steakhouse Restaurant in Silverthorne. It is an iconic building, and whether or no the food is great, it might be fun just to drop in for drinks.

Do remember, if preferring not to drive, that Summit County offers an excellent free shuttle bus service that runs regularly, and late, to most popular spots:

Somewhere else I haven't been is The Dredge Restaurant & Bar in Breckenridge. Possibly not the finest choice in town, and one should use a certain caution in resort towns. But it is unique enough to possibly consider:

Another helpful resource would be in the local paper, the 'Summit Daily':
