Hello. I currently reside in Florida... and it's too darn hot. I'm a divorced 67 male with no health issues and would love some wide open spaces, clean air and good water. I am a Vietnam vet with no pets. Not crazy about cold weather, but, being from New England, I can cope. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Montrose is modest sized (has services without being big), relatively affordable and in town gets relatively little snow. Near mountains and desert terrain. Not that far to Grand Junction and Telluride for more activity variety (and GJ medical).

Preferred city size, housing budget, distance to Denver and other wants could improve ability to make recommendations though.
