What is the deal? Beautiful weather during the work week, then Saturday comes along and it snows or rains or is cloudy and cold. Ugh. January was so much nicer than this!

I took my oldest on a hike at Castlewood Canyon State Park today. Started out cloudy but about 45 minutes in the sun came out. Had a brief sprinkle near the end, but overall the weather was fair.

Supposed to be in the 80s along the Front Range next weekend.

May clouds bring June Stroud
It's just Les Stroud's way of saying he's coming to Denver next month

Colorado's way of reminding us that our plans don't amount to a pile of spit in the grand scheme of things.

Diversify your wardrobe and recreation prospects and the odds of fun improve.

Spring just isn't a particularly nice season in northeastern Colorado. Although I will admit that the rainy weekend, nice weekday pattern has been oddly persistent (and annoying) this month.

I've been loving this weather. Less traffic on the roads, trails, and campsites. I also haven't had to put on sun screen since my last ski run 4 weeks ago.

This weekend Spring might finally arrive! Although there are only 2 months out of the year that snow hasn't been recorded along the Front Range, July and August. Fingers crossed, I'm ready for those beautiful Colorado blue skies! Along with the afternoon showers to keep the wildfires at bay.

Rotten weekend weather was great for me.... I chose to work weekend night shift for 30+ yrs, so I would be off during the week. This schedule is preferred in Colorado, since weekends are jammed at recreation sites.

Weekdays are great for recreation. Those who work weekends by choice are very pleased to not have a bunch of whiners as co-workers... It makes work MUCH more fun and enjoyable.
