Default La Junta

My husband works for the Railroad and we are not fairing well where he hired on at. We were a bit interested in La Junta. Is there anything you can tell me about it?
How are the schools? How is the housing market? renting and buying?
What about crime?

We just moved 45 min away from La Junta. Seems like a nice little town. Go under city-data.com & enter in La Junta, CO (be sure to put a space between La and Junta). I used this alot when searching for a home. We like the people we've met in La Junta. In fact, a bank there (Colorado Bank & Trust) helped us get our home.....very nice people to work with. If you pull up NormMurphy.com you can look at homes there.
