There exists a simple mathematical equation...

(Season pass) + carpooling = affordable skiing.

Doesn't anyone run buses from Denver to the main destinations? Seems like a bus would do brisk business, especially with a coffee service on board.

I haven't been skiing since my early 20's. The reason for this was that it occurred to me a day of skiing equals getting up really dang early, driving a long way on bad roads, fighting traffic on the aforementioned bad roads, paying a lot of money to stand in long lift lines all for the pleasure of strapping slippery boards to my feet and attempting to not die while sliding down the side of a mountain at high velocity.

The PITA to fun ratio was skewed toward way too much work/way too little reward side of the equation......

I heard they increased bus service just this year. Keystone, Copper and Breckenridge have ski buses from Denver as far as I know. Maybe Vail too.

Default Skiing is cheap in CO

The walk up ticket prices are off the hook. But if you buy a season pass, skiing is cheaper than ever. 500$ for an Epic Pass (Vail,Breck,Beaver Creek, A-Basin)

I live in Montana now and it cost me 640.00 for season pass at a single mountain (Moonlight Basin). Wanted a Big Sky pass but that was 1300.00!!!

Colorado is the best place for cheap skiing-no question. One can buy really cheap passes for just A-Basin or Loveland.
