does anyone know if you can keep chickens in the colorado city limits? we purchased land last year on the outskirts of colorado city, kinda in between rye and co city....and i have researched and researched on pueblo county's website and can't find any info on this.

i see that apparently you cannot within pueblo city limits, but it appears to include nothing about more rural areas. just wondering if anyone has experience with this or knows someone who keeps them in that area....

Sarah, this has been moved to the main Colorado forum, as "Colorado City" is well south of Pueblo, CO and is not in Colo Spgs. Confusion is widespread on this issue as there is an area of Colo Spgs called "OLD Colorado City" which is only a neighborhood here.

I take it that Colorado City doesn't have its own government? You mentioned checking the Pueblo County Government website so I assume that you are in an unincorporated area. Why not call the Planning Department, they administer the county zoning code. Their phone number is (719) 583-6100.
