I just got a job in Durango and I am relocating quickly. We are totally excited at this opportunity. Unfortunately, my husband and kids are having to stay behind to get the house sold and the kids at a good transition point in school. I am looking for a place to rent for the short term, would need a month-to-month basis, cheap. I have followed suggestions in previous threads and have hit many dead ends. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks, Luv2flyrn Last edited by luv2flyrn35; 09-04-2007 at 10:38 PM.. |

Durango is a lovely, if somewhat expensive, area.
One possibility in your search is the local newspaper, 'The Durango Herald:' Durango, Colorado News, Classifieds, Sports, Education, Business, Arts and Entertainment Within it you can find apartment rentals for $500 and less, in some cases. There is more selection in unfurnished apartments but some also furnished. Presumably, some of these might also be let on a short term basis. If you are willing to, you might also look outside of town. Two areas that might offer something are Bayfield to the east, and Hermosa to the north. Of the two, I would far prefer the area around Hermosa, for scenery if nothing else. In both cases you might find relative bargains in housing compared to Durango, but possibly little in the way of rentals. Good luck. |
